Once called “Sharon’s Roses with Love”, Sharon Barwick transformed her enchanting retail store on Burrard Street Vancouver, into a home based business called “Sharon Barwick Designs”. The birth of her son prompted this move and during this time she successfully expanded the company into the event industry all the while maintaining floral and wedding work.

Sharon’s unforgettable character and enthusiasm will be greatly missed as her life led her away from the floral and event industry of Vancouver to Calgary to be closer to her family. Sharon was excited and supportive as she sold the company to one of her talented employees, Hazel Egerton, a young enthusiastic entrepreneur ready to fill her shoes!

Sharon had recognized Hazel’s natural talent for the business during her volunteer work through the work experience program with Langara College. Hazel was hired upon receiving her Diploma majoring in the Display and Design Program where she distinguished herself by making the Dean’s List. Personally trained by Sharon for two years prior to her move, Hazel continues the traditions and distinctive style cherished by our clients by maintaining the same integrity, vision and attention to detail instilled by Sharon. With Hazel’s Graphic, Interior, Retail, 3D and Event Design experience combined with 7 years of retail, she will advance the re-named company “Barwick Designs” into the next ten years!
